Many oganisations now adopt a flexible approach to working times with the time conditions attached to an organisational HR policy. The core working times and amount of hours to be worked within the stipulated period of time are allocated to the employee.

When excess hours are worked, accumulators hold the amounts. Taking time off (a flex day) then reduces the appropriate balance.
