Charities

Frontier Software proudly supports several charities each year as well as giving encouragement and money to individual employees who take part in fundraising activities and events.

We donated to the 2011 Australian Flood Appeal in Queensland, the 2004 Indonesian Tsunami appeal and are a sponsor of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in New Zealand. In the UK, we have joined the Prince’s Trust Fellowship Enterprise.

For several years we have supported Frontier Services who provide support to people in the Australian outback

Employees take part in the annual National Payroll Week: March in Australia and September in the UK. National Payroll Week is the industry’s most important week to raise awareness of the profession as well as casting a spotlight on the industry to the outside world.  Organisations taking part host a range of activities, from cake baking to holding quizzes, raising money for charities with the aim of casting a spotlight on the payroll profession.

Environment

We have adopted a responsible attitude towards the green environment and lowering our carbon footprint. For example we are:

• reducing power consumption in all offices, particularly by turning off electrical equipment each evening
• reducing the effects of travel by asking staff to use web conferencing as much as possible.
• sorting waste – cardboard, plastic and paper - for collection by local authorities
• reducing paper consumption, including only printing essential documents, reusing scrap paper as note paper, installing duplex printers to enable double sided printing
• recycling used toner cartridges
